Business Titan Anand Mahindra Lauds Mumbai Police for Heartwarming Six-Month Search and Reunion

Indian industrialist and Chairperson of the Mahindra Group, Anand Mahindra, took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to express his profound admiration for the Mumbai Police. His praise centered on the force’s exceptional commitment and resilience in locating and reuniting a young girl with her family after she had been missing for six long months.

The businessman shared an emotional story detailing the police department’s relentless efforts to find four-year-old Aarohi, who had vanished from Mumbai in May. The user whose original post Mahindra amplified highlighted the extraordinary dedication of the officers involved.

According to the post, the Mumbai Police refused to treat the case as closed, continuing their investigation for half a year. The commitment went beyond duty, with some officers reportedly carrying the child’s photograph in their shirt pockets, treating the search as a personal mission. They utilized resources to distribute posters across multiple cities and diligently followed up on every available lead.

The exhaustive search finally came to a triumphant conclusion when Aarohi was found and flown back to Mumbai. In a fitting moment, the girl returned on Children’s Day, November 14. Members of the Mumbai Crime Branch greeted her at the airport with balloons and a new blue dress. The reunion culminated in a deeply touching scene: upon seeing the officers, the young girl is said to have run directly toward them, embracing the nearest policeman.

Reacting to the inspiring account, Anand Mahindra’s post lauded the force, stating:

“Mumbai Police, You just gave us the gift of hope and happiness. For this alone, you rank as one of the finest forces in the world.”

The story of the dedicated officers and the successful reunion sparked a wave of heartfelt responses online, with countless users echoing Mahindra’s gratitude and commending the Mumbai Police for their determination.
