Halo Studios (formerly 343 Industries) has confirmed it will share new details regarding the multiple Halo projects currently under development at the upcoming Halo World Championship (HWC) in October.

• Announcement Venue: The update will be provided at the Halo World Championship 2025, which is scheduled to take place from October 24–26 in Seattle. The esports event will feature the top 16 teams competing for a $1 million prize pool.
• Engine Shift: At last year’s HWC, the studio announced its rebrand to Halo Studios and confirmed a major shift for future projects: they are being built using Unreal Engine 5 (UE5). The developers debuted UE5 footage of environments and the main protagonist, Master Chief, though they specified at the time that the footage was not from a game in development, but part of a “Foundry” project to serve as a foundation for future titles.
• The “Conversation” Continues: Halo Studios addressed ongoing speculation in a blog post, stating that last year’s event was “just the beginning” and they look forward to “continuing the conversation” about the projects at this year’s HWC, urging fans to tune in for the “official scoop.”
• Remake Speculation: The upcoming updates follow a recent comment from Xbox chief Phil Spencer, who alluded to the “return of a classic” next year to celebrate Xbox’s 25th anniversary. This has fueled speculation that a remake or remaster of Halo: Combat Evolved might be in development, alongside the likely next mainline entry in the Halo series. The last mainline title, Halo Infinite, launched in 2021.
