Bengaluru-based EV startup Numeros Motors has introduced its newest electric two-wheeler, the n-First, specifically targeting the urban commuter segment. Launched at an aggressive introductory price of ₹64,999 for the initial 1,000 customers, the vehicle is designed to combine the maneuverability of a motorcycle with the convenience and practicality of a scooter.

Design and Drivetrain Highlights

The n-First is the result of a collaboration with the Italian design house Wheelab. It features a lightweight, slim profile particularly appealing to city riders, with a stated focus on catering to women commuters.

A significant design departure from typical scooters is the use of 16-inch wheels, which the company claims contributes to better agility and stability. The vehicle is offered in five variants and two distinct colors: Traffic Red and Pure White.

Powering the n-First is a mid-mounted PMSM motor utilizing a chain-drive system. All variants are capable of receiving over-the-air (OTA) software updates.

Range and Battery Specifications

The vehicle is available with two primary battery options, offering competitive range figures:

Charging the battery takes approximately five to eight hours, depending on the size of the battery pack.

Technology and Company Background

The n-First comes equipped with a suite of connected features accessible via a companion app. These technological safeguards include geo-fencing, remote locking capabilities, live location tracking, and alerts for theft or towing. Users can also access detailed ride statistics through the application.

Numeros Motors, which was founded in 2020, emphasized that the n-First has undergone rigorous testing in a diverse range of extreme Indian climatic conditions, from the intense heat of Jaisalmer to the sub-zero temperatures of Manali. The company’s manufacturing facility near Bengaluru boasts an annual production capacity of 70,000 units.

Bookings for the new electric two-wheeler are currently open and can be placed directly through the company’s official website.
