Realme has officially confirmed that its next premium flagship smartphone, the Realme GT 8 Pro, will be unveiled in India on November 20. The device marks a significant collaboration for the company, debuting a partnership with Ricoh Imaging to deliver an exclusive camera experience.
The centerpiece of the new smartphone is the Ricoh GR-powered camera system. This advanced setup will offer users two distinct focal lengths—28mm and 40mm—along with five signature Ricoh GR tones for professional-grade photography effects straight out of the box.
Design and Hardware Innovations
The GT 8 Pro is set to introduce several unique design elements. Most notable is its switchable camera bump, allowing users to detach and replace the lens cover with different aesthetic styles, such as round, square, or even robot-themed options.
In terms of build, the phone features a distinctive paper-like leather back panel, which is manufactured using recycled plastics and textiles. It will be available in two colors: Diary White and Urban Blue.
On the performance front, the device is expected to be powered by the flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with configurations offering up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of internal storage.
Display, Battery, and Software
The display specifications are equally impressive, featuring a 2K panel with a peak brightness that reaches an ultra-high 7,000 nits.
Powering the device is a substantial 7,000 mAh battery, which supports blazing-fast 120W SuperVOOC charging and up to 50W wireless charging.
The Realme GT 8 Pro will also be the first handset to run the new Realme UI 7.0, which is based on the latest Android 16 operating system. Upon launch, the premium smartphone will be available for purchase through Flipkart and the official Realme website.
